My journey into marketing started long before Instagram became synonymous with the industry it dominates today. While everyone my age was living their offline teen lives in the early 2000s, I was blogging, filming YouTube tutorials, and accidentally building an online audience from my childhood bedroom in Dublin. Before “content creator” was a coined term, I was already doing it.
What started as a fun creative outlet quickly led to collaborations with Irish and international brands. Without meaning to, I was learning the ropes of online brand-building before I’d ever stepped into a lecture hall or a boardroom. Throughout university, I kept writing and creating, but I also wanted an understanding of the full picture - the strategy, the data, the why behind what works.
So while finishing my degree, I dove into agency life at leading Irish advertising firms managing accounts across multi-industry brands. I managed multi-million euro influencer and PR campaigns, shaped brand strategies, led social media teams, executed countless brand events, and earned a collection of industry awards along the way.
This blend of creator experience + agency expertise became my secret weapon. It gave me a 360° understanding of the digital landscape: how brands think, how creators create, and what consumers actually respond to.
In 2019, I relocated to Zürich to lead marketing teams in the tech industry, bringing a decade of experience across Ireland and the UK, plus a Masters in PR & Communications. Bringing my native English fluency and international background to the Swiss market, I quickly spotted the gap: Swiss brands needed modern, creator-native marketing — not outdated, corporate formulas.
